eBookのテキストは「Project Gutenberg」に公開されているデータを2017年5月にダウンロードしたものです。

印刷本は以下のものです。

初版　：Seeley Service and Co Ltd  1913年
第二版：Seeley Service and Co Ltd  出版年不明、初版から程なく出版か。
第三版：1917年Seeley Service and Co Ltdから出版された第三版を基に、1972年DOVERP Publicationから再版。現在流通している。

本書の内容は、初版から第三版まで変わっていません。字句の修正も第二版で殆ど済んでいます。
